To lead the B2B organisation in a Millicom operating company by localising and executing Millicom Africa’s B2B strategy in market. Responsible for driving revenue market share gains through product portfolio innovation, effective sales management and lifetime management. Accountable for improving customer experience and customer relationship management. Responsible for building a strong B2B team and for building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Africa region and other Tigo operating companies, sharing and adopting best practice as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Innovative commercial leadership
• Responsible for B2B P&L and leadership of B2B organisation (sales, product and operations)
• Partner with other key business functions (Operations, Technology, Finance, Mobile, Mobile Financial Services, Marketing, Consumer Understanding, Legal and Regulatory etc.) to develop a strong understanding of customer needs, analysis of customer behaviour and the competitive environment to appropriately steer strategic focus and operational execution
• Proactively work with B2B team to drive results, manage the development of talent and effectively address underperformance
• Ensure alignment between key business functions in market and at a regional level, developing and executing a clear business plan so that synergies are delivered
• Actively monitor global telecoms market trends and adapt local roadmap as needed

• Use of commercial strategy and acumen to create and deliver a detailed and achievable implementation plan, focussing on strategic rather than tactical plays
• Ensures our product portfolio and roadmap best suits decision maker and customer needs across all segments and categories

Position Requirements

• University degree, preferably Marketing, Communication, Engineering, Business Administration

• 5 - 10 years senior B2B and managerial experience preferably in telecommunications, fixed solutions, technology or FMCG business

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for operational routines to maintain a high level of quality and availability of MFS Platforms and products offered by the company to both internal and external customers.

• Responsible for the overall upkeep and management of all existing and future MFS services, Products and their integration to the company operations.


• Responsible for the design, development / customization/ acquisition and implementation of MFS products/systems to be offered to our subscribers or to be used internally.

• Provide first level MFS support and escalate to level 2(need further investigation) problems and report to the team.


• Re-classify problems into level3 (need vendor support) and initiate change request to be approved by team leader and subsequently product vendor /owner.

• Ensure that all MFS nodes, applications, products and associated processes are SOX compliant.


• Peforms daily operations and Maintanance for the current MFS Platforms (USSD GW, DB, MOBIQUITY NODES)

• Undertake system changes and any other projects assigned by the MFS technical manager
Position Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Electronics/ Computer engineering or other related degree programme
• Must have atleast a minimum of 2-5 Years’ experience in MFS/VAS area
• MFS or finance business related process knowledge
• Planning and organization skills
• Technical credibility

JOB PURPOSE
Effectively coordinate Airtel Tanzania safety, health and environment management systems and programs and facilitate risk assessments in order to minimize exposure to work place hazards and occupational accidents as well as ensure ambience of the work environment. Develop and maintain strategies and tactics to build and maintain business relationships with the Government and Government Agencies regulators, policy makers and international organizations
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Prepare SHE guidelines drawn from Airtel Africa SHE policies and global recommendations.
  • Ensure continuous training of SHE Champions across Zones/Regions in Airtel Tanzania and cascade of information to entire Airtel Tanzania employees
  • Carry out periodic SHE drills to all staff across locations to heighten personal and corporate safety awareness
  • Ensure regular supply, supervision and maintenance of fire extinguishers, alarms, detection and suppressions systems
  • Ensure reliability of maintenance contractor
  • Ensure availability regulatory body certification for compliance as required by HS laws and regulations.
  • Carry out incidents report investigation to determine direct and root causes and proffer recommendations to prevent such future occurrence.
  • Facilitate She performance data collation and Ensure Opco and Group reports are prepared and submitted timely as per group reporting guideline/timeframe.
  • To ensure that Monthly and Quarterly reports are submitted to management and significant events are brought to management attention immediately
  • Carry out inspection/audit on the company facilities to ensure that facilities meet and surpass minimum requirements of Government Fire Service Dept with respect to fire and evacuation safety.
  • Provide high level SHE advice on the design, installations and commissioning of new projects to ensure that safety requirements are observed in line with SHE Standards
  • Develop and deploy processes to ensure effective education and training to nominated staff and security operatives companywide to ensure that they gain necessary knowledge in fire safety and occupational safety & health
  • Provide quality advice to management on Safety and health issues/concerns including regulatory compliance.
  • To develop and maintain strategies and tactics to build and maintain close relationships with the Government, regulators, policy makers and international organizations
  • Provide environmental expert advice and useful input to government authorities on the environmental and compliance related queries raised.
  • Preparation of group relationship report, business strategic plan and timely submission to management and group.
Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills
  • First degree in Engineering or any other related discipline plus relevant professional qualification.

Electronic Recharge Specialist reports to Distribution Operation Manager. with the purpose of increasing electronic recharge penetration by analyzing, monitoring and implementing sales related activities. Track competitors’ sales activities and prepare sales activity reports for strategic decision making
Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring E-pin sales and targets per Zone and Region to ensure that monthly targets are met.
• Monitoring Airtime Sales Force performance per Zone and ensure their commission are paid on timely manner.
• Prepare and analyze Electronic recharge sales Reports (E-pin, E-pin Pesa, E-pin Packages, etc.) to ensure that trends are recognized and make recommendations on what to be done to improve sales performance.
• Train teams in zones and regions on product knowledge. To ensure that the team is well informed on current and new E-Pin projects and initiatives.
• Monitor and control the performance of Out of stock (OOS) per Zone and Region to ensure availability of electronic recharges in the market.
• Handling and solving electronic recharges issues, in coordination with other stakeholders.
