The mission of Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) is to provide an excellent, Christ-centred, international education that meets western academic standards and equips students to live out a biblical worldview in all areas of life to the glory of God. HOPAC, founded in 1994, is an international Christian K-12 school with over 300 students from 33 different countries and a variety of religious backgrounds including Christian, Muslim and Hindu. While the majority of students come from families of missionaries and the non-profit and international business community, one third are Tanzanian. HOPAC adminstrators and teachers must be committed Christian, 55 years of age or younger with Bachelor degree, at least 3 years of experience and fluency in English.

HOPAC expects administrators to be supported spiritually and financially through a mission organization or home church. The school provides volunteer staff assistance in the form of a monthly living allowance that covers a significant portion of monthly in-country expenses.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesThis role incorporates all aspects of contact with the Bank’s customers through Customer Services, Service Quality, Cash management and managing the centralised back office function, which includes Trade Finance and Treasury operations, Clearing, Information Technology and Funds Transfer. The Head of Operations and Service Delivery will report to the CEO.
The Head of Operations and Service Delivery will be accountable and responsible for, among others to:
•Act as a member of the Bank’s MANCOM, ALCO, BORC, and Human Resources Committees, take a proactive role in influencing policy and the strategic direction of the Bank;
•Assume responsibility for the Bank’s entire service delivery for all bank customers and as part of the senior management team contribute to the achievement of annual business plans and strategic objectives;
•Develop new and improved Service Delivery channels and any other additional channels that may be developed, which meet the needs of the bank customers to ensure the Bank remains competitive;
•Put in place an MIS system that will enable continuous tracking of the department’s performance, monitoring of customer satisfaction and provision of management reports;
•Identify and develop new business locations and improve alternative service delivery channels to meet the needs of Bank customers and ensure the Bank remains competitive;
•Organise, develop and maintain front office operations and support structure, staffed by high calibre and well-motivated staff utilising efficient, relevant and comprehensive processes to achieve superior delivery of customer service at all times;
•Manage Bank’s exposure to external and internal risks at the service delivery front, including but not limited to adherence to procedures, optimum cash management within set limits, and physical security of bank staff and assets;
•Manage a business continuity plan for service delivery;
•Manage projects within budgets, set timeliness and with required effectiveness and efficiency;
•Put in place a quality management system of international standards that ensures service quality;
•Continuously review services provided at the branch to ensure that customers receive services efficiently;
•Monitor the activities of key competitors to ensure that the Bank is in a position to respond appropriately to protect existing business and generate new business

Requirements•Bachelors/Master’s degree in relevant professional qualification in banking and accounting from a reputable institution;
•Full awareness and appreciation of profit dynamics in Banking;
•Minimum 10 years’ experience in banking operations.
•Experience, awareness and appreciation of all aspects of balance sheet management in banking;
•Proven leadership and people management skills with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm;
•Full knowledge of BOT’s Act & various Regulations;

Finance & Operations Director

Finance & Operations Director

Job responsibilities:
The Finance and Operations Director will be, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial and operational management, including financial systems implementation, budgeting, expenditure tracking, administering sub-awards and financial reporting and accounting for both the prime partner and any sub-awards.

Qualifications & Experience
A Master's degree or higher in financial management, accounting, financial analysis, development finance, budgeting, macroeconomics, and/or applied economics, or a closely related field is required;
At least eight years of experience in financial management for large complex projects, of which at least five years were working in the field of international development.
Knowledge of applicable USAID/USG rules and regulations.
Professional level of oral and written fluency in English language.
Work experience in Tanzania highly preferred.

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) currently has fifteen Member States with a population of approximately 250 million people and a combined GDP of USD 467.3 billion (2006).
The overall objective of SADC is to achieve development and economic growth, which is to be attained through increased regional integration, built on democratic principles and equitable and sustainable development.
It is following this background that Southern Africa Development Community Secretariat SADC Secretariat wishes to invite suitably qualified, experienced citizens of SADC Member State to apply for the following positions tenable at its Headquarters in Gaborone, Botswana:
OPERATIONS AND TRAINING OFFICER (RPTC) - JOB GRADE 5
Average package per annum: US$ 97,200
Main Purpose of the Job: To Be responsible of all aspects relating to training at SADC Regional Peacekeeping Training Centre (RPTC)
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Plan, design, prepare and support the implementation of SADC RPTC training courses, seminars and workshops;
• Conduct long term planning of training courses, seminars and workshops and distribution of information to all relevant stakeholders;
• Develop and organize quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation measures such as course evaluations and accordingly suggests potential improvements;

• Support the Commandant of SADC RPTC in organizational development and implementation of SADC RPTC strategic plan;

• Ensure mainstreaming of cross cutting issues such as gender, HIV and

• Prepare documentation for official SADC meetings ( Technical Meetings, ISDC, MCO , Council and Summit) and technical papers for discussion, dissemination and or publication;
• Perform other duties delegated by the Commandant from time to time.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION
A master degree in international relations, political science ideally focus on thematic areas such as conflict prevention and resolution, peace studies or anynother alternative equivalent qualifications as accepted by SADC Secretariat.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years experience in the field of peace and security in Africa ideally with a national or regional peacekeeping training centre
COMPETENCIES
• Knowledge of ICT and software applications
• Knowledge of French and Portuguese Communication skills
• Managerial, organisational and administrative competence.
