Main responsibilities:

What you need:
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
At least master degree in a relevant discipline such as hydrology, water management, environmental law/policy, aquatic ecology, geography, civil engineering, development, environmental economics, or natural resource management;
10 years of relevant professional experience in conservation, environment and development, or environmental campaigning, with experience of working in one of these three regions - Africa, Asia, Latin America/Caribbean;
Proven experience in effective communications with multi-stakeholders;
Management experience with regard to projects, finance and/or staff;
Network of water security and business contacts among governments, companies, aid agencies, civil society and other NGOs;
Experience of donor relations, and successful fundraising an advantage.
Strategic thinker with ability to lead and motivate colleagues and external parties towards WWF goals;
Ability to mentor and develop multi-disciplinary, multicultural teams;
Strong oral and written communication skills in English, with other languages a strong advantage;

POSITION OBJECTIVE
To execute planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance. Troubleshooting, installing, servicing and repair of electrical systems and their accessories
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Specifically you will be responsible for ensuring that you:
Assist in inspecting, testing electric and air conditions systems to ascertain their condition and operation status.
To conduct thoroughly daily inspection of generating sets and their accessories and report to Electrical Engineer for any defects and carry out remedies.
To carry out visual inspection of equipment and instruments and to report any faults and defects.
Proper keeping of working tools.
To assist Electrical Engineer in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
To prepare and submit status reports on weekly and monthly basis.
To restore the system in the shortest possible time during the system/plant outages.
To perform any other technical duties this may be assigned by Maintenance Engineer.
Attend monthly safety meetings.
Participate in performing of new installations as per required standards  to ensure proper systems operations.
Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills you must posses
Holder of F.T.C or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized institutions any from recognized Institutions.
At least 1 year of working experience in related field.

Infrastructure Project Manager, Civil Engineering
The Infrastructure Project Manager, Civil Engineering will act as Project Manager for all TMEA-funded civil works and other infrastructure-related activities at the Dar es Salaam Port. S/he will be responsible for providing programmatic support in the planning, implementation and reporting of project activities, including developing and maintaining strategies, work plans, budgets, monitoring and evaluation plans, and reports.

The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in civil engineering or a related field. A relevant

5. Produce details of specifications and outline designs for drilling contractors;
6. Ensure successful execution of plans, costs, schedules and supervision of drilling operations;
7. Supervise the drilling crew on site and duties pertaining to drilling activities;
8. Monitor drilling progress, oversee safety management and ensure the protection of the environment;
9. Working with multidisciplinary professionals evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitor progress during drilling; to
10. Effectively monitor and ensure cost effective drilling operations as well as strict adherence to drilling ramp-up and drilling schedules; and
11. Obtaining relevant data, carrying out engineering analysis on site and recommending necessary actions and writing up reports.

WaterAid is looking for a Funding Manager, Surge and Relief to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.
Working within the Strategic Funding Unit, the Funding Manager, Surge and Relief will focus on providing fundraising and grant management support to country programmes and contribute to building capacity of their senior teams, working with a range of stakeholders amongst donors, partners, communities and funding teams. The role will also provide added capacity inputs to country programmes during periods of peak demand, or at times of high priority or high risk.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a confident professional with strong understanding of development issues and experience of working in the developing world. The successful candidate will additionally require a sound understanding of fundraising from institutional and government donors, and the priorities and needs of corporate and major donors. Strong knowledge of fund accounting and grant management systems in non-profit organisations is essential.

MFS Engineer - Tigo Tanzania



To ensure smooth MFS operations, in order to maintain high service availability and to achieve the overall company goals to accomplish service availability up to 99.99%
Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for operational routines to maintain a high level of quality and availability of MFS Platforms and products offered by the company to both internal and external customers.

• Responsible for the overall upkeep and management of all existing and future MFS services, Products and their integration to the company operations.


• Responsible for the design, development / customization/ acquisition and implementation of MFS products/systems to be offered to our subscribers or to be used internally.

• Provide first level MFS support and escalate to level 2(need further investigation) problems and report to the team.


• Re-classify problems into level3 (need vendor support) and initiate change request to be approved by team leader and subsequently product vendor /owner.

• Ensure that all MFS nodes, applications, products and associated processes are SOX compliant.


• Peforms daily operations and Maintanance for the current MFS Platforms (USSD GW, DB, MOBIQUITY NODES)

• Undertake system changes and any other projects assigned by the MFS technical manager
Position Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Electronics/ Computer engineering or other related degree programme
• Must have atleast a minimum of 2-5 Years’ experience in MFS/VAS area
• MFS or finance business related process knowledge
• Planning and organization skills
• Technical credibility

POSITION: AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS ATR 42/72 (2 POSTS)


REPORTS TO: MANAGER MAINTENANCE
DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM


ROLE PURPOSE OF THE STATEMENT


Carry out and certify all inspection, repair ,replacement tasks on aircraft & aircraft systems and perform certification within his/her dual scope of approval in accordance with TCAA and company regulations at an optimized cost for the business whilst upholding high safety standards to maintain schedule integrity


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSBILITIES


· Assess defect s on aircraft, troubleshoot, rectify and


· Certify within the dual scope approval for timely release of aircraft to maintain schedule integrity


· Carry out scheduled maintenance checks and service bulletins and certify within the dual scope approval for safe and timely release of aircraft within planned downtime for continued airworthiness.


· Carry out inspection, repair, replacement, overhaul, modification and testing of aircraft components and aircraft tools and certify within the two component ATA cluster approval for optimal turn around time to ensure continuous availability of serviceable component.


· Carry out and certify maintenance on cabin utilities and i.f.e. systems for utmost customer satisfaction and comfort


· Identify and requisition of the required parts


· Carry out and certify duplicate inspections on safety critical systems of the aircraft and engines within the single scope approval to ensure system integrity


· Report incidents / accident occurrences as per company procedures


· Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately & signed for in order to maintain correct & up to date aircraft history /data


· Adhere to the company safety, health and environmental policy


· Co-ordinate aircraft towing to and from hangars by communicating with the tower


· Apron control and operating the necessary aircraft systems for safe and timely


· Movement of the aircraft


· Supervise team of technicians


· Develop technicians for improved competency/ efficiency


· Any other duty as assigned by supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE


· Diploma / Degree in the relevant engineering discipline and an approved Apprenticeship program or diploma in the relevant engineering discipline for at least three years
· Working experience in aircraft maintenance


· Either dual LWTR plus approval on at least one aircraft type or approval on two components ATA clusters


· At least two years as an approved technician


· In depth knowledge on aircraft systems


· Proficiency in computer applications


· Inspection and troubleshooting technique


· Supervisory skills


· Knowledgeable on TCAA regulations


· Knowledgeable on PW procedures

Dutch organisations recruit their own local Young Experts. So if you would like to become a local Young Expert and you live in one of the countries, you should find a Dutch organisation to employ you. A list of Dutch organisations is available at the Dutch embassy in your country.
Important criteria for local candidates

• Clear affinity with international water challenges:
* efficient water management, especially in the agricultural sector
* improved drainage basin management and safe deltas
* access to clean drinking water and sanitation
• Completed relevant higher vocational education or university education
• Maximum of 8 years work experience, with a maximum of 4 years relevant work experience
• Not already working for the Dutch organization that is offering your nomination
• Nationality of the country where the Young Expert position is offered
• You live in 1 of the countries which is also covered by the Sustainable Water Fund (FDW) and you will be deployed in that specific country
• Fluent in written and spoken English
You can only take part in the YEP Water programme if a Dutch company, knowledge institution or social organization offers you a Young Expert position in one of its International cooperation and development projects.
