Media Relations Officer

The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides a FREE, high-quality education to over 1,800 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in Arusha.
We are seeking an inspired, energetic person for our Media Relations Officer role, based in Arusha, Tanzania at the School of St Jude. As the Media Relations Officer you will be responsible for writing and editing the school's marketing communications, managing the school's social media identity including the St Jude's blog, updating our website, sourcing media opportunities and much, much more!
A minimum commitment of 12 months is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing media opportunities
Assistance in updating the school's social web pages
Writing blog posts for the St Jude's blog and other relevant blogs
Writing content for the schools monthly newsletter
Updating the schools website
Write a wide variety of communications for print, TV, radio, and the Internet
Review, edit, proofread and coordinate production of a variety of corporate and marketing communications
Requirements and Skills:
Superior creative writing skills
Extraordinary communication and networking skills
Excellent Microsoft Suite skills
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional organisation skills
Living allowance:
International volunteers receive a comfortable monthly living allowance, which is enough to live on but not enough to fund travel around Africa.
